Czech Centres are an institute of public and cultural diplomacy established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
Their main mission is to support the good name of the Czech Republic and to strengthen cultural relations between countries.
As a cultural institute, they are a member of the network of foreign European cultural institutes EUNIC. They present our country in a wide range of cultural and social areas: from art to creative industries to promoting the achievements of Czech science and innovation. They are engaged in teaching Czech abroad. They participate in international projects and serve as a platform for the development of international cultural dialogue.
Currently, there are a total of 26 branches abroad on 4 continents.
Czech Center Tel Aviv was established in 2009 and was officially opened in May 2010. In a short time, it successfully positioned itself among the foreign cultural institutes operating in Israel and established active cooperation with a number of partner institutions. In its activities, Czech Center Tel Aviv focuses on a broad spectrum of areas for presenting Czech culture, such as film, theater, visual arts, literature, dance, and more.
