Oldřich Voyta
Oldrich Voyta graduated in Shoe Design from the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree at the Faculty of Technology, Tomas Bata University, where he is involved in the implementation of footwear technologies. With his project Zonal Personalized Footwear, he won the National Final of the FameLab science competition.
For several years, he worked as a chief designer in Beijing, in the VO5 studio and the design & technology studio DeFacto, where he won the 2018 Red Dot Award for his wearable high-tech anti-pollution mask. He regularly presents his work around the world and in the Czech Republic. He has participated in the following events: Beijing Design Week, London Fashion Week, Milano Design Week, Consumer Electronic Show - CES in Las Vegas, 3D Expo in Paris, Designblok, Mercedes Benz Prague Fashion Week, etc. Oldrich also graduated from the Dance Conservatory of the City of Prague. He spent several years on stages in the Czech Republic and abroad, e.g. the National Theater in Prague, the Estates Theater in Prague, the State Opera in Prague, the Karlín Music Theater, the J. K. Tyl Theater in Pilsen, the National Center for the Performing Arts (China).
Oldrich’s work is usually inspired by the lines of the human body and based on the biomechanical principles of movement from which he also derives the design.
