This exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the landscapes closest to Martin Rak’s heart: North Bohemia. It was here, fifteen years ago, that Martin discovered his passion for landscape photography. Despite his travels to breathtaking locations worldwide, North Bohemia remains his favorite place to return, offering endless inspiration through its ever-changing seasons.
“The northern borderlands of the Czech Republic are incredibly photogenic,” Martin shares. “The diversity of the landscape and the unique combination of natural formations make it unparalleled in Europe.”
The exhibition showcases Martin's favorite subjects, including trees contrasted with the sandstone cliffs of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, the granite boulders of the Jizera Mountains, and the serene vistas of the Lusatian Mountains and Central Bohemian Uplands. Each photograph reflects not only the region’s natural splendor but also Martin’s deep emotional connection to the landscapes of his heart.
