Masterclass with Czech illustrator Patrik Antczak and Israeli author Avihai Nizri.
Patrik Antczak
Patrik Antczak is an illustrator living and working in Prague. He is interested in projects with a longer-term social impact or educational and interactive overlap. He, therefore, likes to collaborate on the creation of books, textbooks, or editorial illustrations.
Through his work, he also supports a number of non-profit projects and organizations, such as the Reconstruction of the State, and the National Institute of Mental Health.
In 2018, he founded his own publishing house RUKAMA, under which he published his didactic interactive book ALFABETA. ALFABETA book for children is a set of worksheets,
each of which represents one letter that can be cut and colored, making the alphabet fun. ALFABETA picked up numerous awards including the Golden Ribbon Award, a prestigious award
for books for children in the past 30 years in the Czech Republic. Among other things, he is currently working on her English sequel.
For his work, he was nominated for the Czech Grand Design Award in the category of Illustrator of the Year in 2018 and 2019, while in 2019 he was among the top three and finished second in the final.
Avihai Nizri is a Writer and Creative Director. His first book won the Ministry of Culture and Sport award and was chosen for ministry of education schools’ program.
Avihai is writing for some of the top performance comedians in Israel like Assi Cohen and Tamir bar. He wrote a short play for Tzavta theater and Scripts for TV shows like Teddy channel and Eretz Nehederet. Avihai is designing and writing for some of the top brands in Israel like Tara, Bezeq, Clal Insurance, AIG, Subaru, Citroen and more. In the past year Avihai Published the book “hayot vehayot aherot”, a book that aroused curiosity, great sympathy, and enthusiastic reviews, which were published in a variety of media.
Nowadays Avihai is working on a new book writing with one of the leading publishing houses in Israel.
