As part of a residency project organized by the Czech Center Tel Aviv, the National Institute for Culture, and the Arad Contemporary Art Center, Czech artist Alžběta Josefy will complete her residency in Arad at the end of October and beginning of November.
The residency is a preparatory and research phase for the second phase of the project, which will take place in 2026. As part of this, Alžběta Josefy will create an object that will be located in the desert near the city of Arad. The object, based on the symbolism of a "gate," will follow on from a series of similar installations (gates) that have been placed in the area in recent years.
