On a bright spring day, laughter echoed through the courtyard of the Haifa International Children's Theater Festival, where hundreds gathered to witness the Czech contemporary circus duo Bratři v tricku perform their celebrated show Běžkařská odysea (Cross-Country Skiing Odyssey).
The open-air performance space quickly filled up with excited children, curious parents, and festival-goers of all ages. As the two performers, Václav Jelínek and Adam Jarchovský, stepped into their colorful roles, the audience was instantly captivated. Combining expert juggling, physical comedy, and absurd humor, the duo led the crowd on a slapstick skiing adventure through imagined snowy slopes, frosty mishaps, and comical coordination failures.
Despite the lack of actual snow, Běžkařská odysea delivered a wintery spectacle packed with warmth, wit, and boundless energy. The children's cheers and adults' laughter melted into one joyous hum.
