On October 27, an event on the occasion of Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU took place at the Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv. The presentation was dedicated to the energy sector, the main speaker was Yossi Abu from Israel's NewMed Energy, the main distributor of natural gas in Israel.
The evening started with three opening speeches. The first speaker was Dan Catarivas, who currently holds the position of Director General of Foreign Trade and International Relations at the Israel Manufacturers Association. The Czech ambassador to the State of Israel, Martin Stropnický, followed with his speech. The last of the opening speakers was Andrea Carignani di Novoli, Head of Research & Innovation Section at the EU Delegation in Israel. The presentation entitled 'Natural gas: From crisis to opportunity' was given by the managing director of NewMed Energy, Yossi Abud. NewMed Energy is Israel's leading energy partnership in the exploration, development, production, and sales of natural gas and condensate. The presentation was followed by light refreshments on the roof of the embassy.
