Violinist Svěcený played at the Czech state reception

On October 20, a state reception took place to celebrate October 28, the Day of the Independent Czechoslovak State. The event was accompanied by the well-known Czech violinist Jaroslav Svěcený.

The state reception is traditionally held once a year at the to celebrate October 28. This year's reception was held at the Czech residence. The opening speech of Mr. Ambassador Martin Stropnický was followed by a short speech by the Israeli Minister of Energy, Karine Elharrar. Jaroslav Svěcený then played the Czech and Slovak national anthems, and during the evening he also played, for example, czardas or some of his own compositions. 

Jaroslav Svěcený is a Czech violinist. To his credit, he has recorded more than forty-one compact discs of the world's violin repertoire. Jaroslav Svěcený is a popularizer and promoter of classical music. He is also a forensic expert in the field of stringed instruments.
