This year festival of new theatre called Malá Inventura took place for the twenty-first time. The festival has prepared over35 theater events on 21 stages. Malá Inventura once again presents the most outstanding premieres of the past year in the field of new theater. Above all, maybe more importantly, it creates a networking platform for artistic groups, performers, and the wider professional public, where they can share professional experience, and ideas or establish new collaborations, even across other theater festivals in Czechia or even abroad.
And how could the Czech Center Tel Aviv participate in such an event? As part of the curatorial journey, the Czech Center chose the Malenky Theater based in Tel Aviv to participate in this unprecedented international theatre event. The small scene of Malenky Theatre has developed a unique theatrical style based on classical plays. These are conceive in a very unconventional way, which achieved success with both critics and audiences. As part of this inspiring interaction, one of the Czech theaters will also come to the scene of the Tel Aviv theatre.
Michael Teplitsky from Malenka Theater wrote down his impressions of the entire festival and their visit to the Czech capital. He especially praised the excellent organization of the festival, the program, and last but not least the beauty of the capital city of Prague.
