Pavel Zlámal & PQ: jazz tour in Israel

On days 9–11 September 2024, a series of three concerts by the progressive jazz formation Pavel Zlámal & PQ took place in Israel. During this tour, the band performed in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, introducing their original work to Israeli audiences. The energetic performances left an impression and offered a unique experience of connecting modern jazz with the live Israeli scene.

The first concert took place on September 9 in Tel Aviv at Jazz Kissa Bar, where the band filled the room with their dynamic music and charmed the audience with their energetic interpretation and intense musical performance.

The following day, September 10, they performed in Jerusalem's Mazkeka club, where they also presented their work to the local community.

They ended the tour on September 11 in Tel Aviv with a concert at the Jazz Alley Club on the occasion of a benefit evening dedicated to the victims of the October 7 terrorist attack. This emotional end to the tour enhanced the musical experience and added another layer of deeper meaning to the concert.

The formation Pavel Zlámal & PQ, composed of musicians active across Europe (Brno, Prague, Helsinki, Vienna), was originally created from the environment of the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. Their debut album Tyče nevyhnutelné from 2018 earned 3rd place in the Czech Radio Jazz poll about the Czech jazz harvest. At the end of 2020, they released the second album Anchors & Hearts, which once again confirms the untamed creative approach of the band's leader, Pavel Zlámal.

Band Lineup:
