TLVFest: Screening of the film Where Butterflies Don't Fly

This year's LGBTQ+ International Film Festival in Tel Aviv presented the Czech film Where the Butterflies Don't Fly directed by Roman Němec.

The film by Czech director Roman Němec, Where Butterflies Don't Fly, was screened as part of the International LGBTQ+ Film Festival in Tel Aviv. The film was introduced at Tel Aviv Cinematheque by the director himself and was followed by a debate with him and one of the actors, Jakub Krejča.

The movie introduces a story of an eighteen-year-old Daniel who lives the life of an unfortunate outsider. His parents are constantly fighting, he is failing at school and his final exams are on the horizon. He is not happy to go on a school trip with the other students, among whom he has no friends. On the trip, he and his teacher Adam fall into a giant cave complex from which there seems to be no way out. As they wander aimlessly through the dark, hostile world, Daniel and Adam begin to form a strong bond.
